Transfer Station
The Mechanic Falls Transfer Station is located on Pigeon Hill at the end of Austin Rd., just a half mile south of the Oxford Town Line on Route 26. Residents can use this facility for disposing of their mixed household trash, recyclables, appliances, inert materials, scrap metal and tires. Some disposal fees do apply. Call the transfer station at (207) 345-3556 during business hours or the town office for details.

A required permit to use the facility may be obtained with proof of residency.
Proof of residency can be provided by bringing in your current vehicle registration.
The fee for the annual sticker is $10.00 and is currently available at the Clerk's Office located in the town office.

- Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
